A beautiful home in Fairfield, Ohio that Window Planet put replacement windows in, back in October 2014. The home was newer and the homeowners thought they would not have to replace anything, for this reason. This retired couple called with complaints of fogged up glass, with moisture in it. They also stated that their windows were not operating correctly. Our senior sales representative went out to see what was going on for them.
Upon arrival, the representative demonstrated Window Planet’s replacement windows and what our company had to offer them. He explained to the couple why they had seal failure, due to the metal spacers in between the panes of glass. Also, informing them that this would be the last time they would replace their windows, due to our lifetime warranty. The rep also shared with them that Window Planet’s glass will not fail or lose the argon gas that is contained within the panes, due to our super spacer system which is warm edge technology.
As the representative measured, he explained to them the process of what he was doing. He noticed they had drywall openings that were not square. He let them know that Window Planet would square those up for them by shaving away any extra drywall or plaster that was causing the issue. They would be left with a small bead of caulk on the inside of the windows, which makes it look as if the replacement windows, were actually the windows that were originally put into the home when it was built.
There was an area where they had intense heat coming into the home, which was fading their furniture and carpet. The couple had a film put over all of their existing windows to keep that from happening. Over time, this film had wrinkled. Window Planet uses triple Low E coating with argon gas in our replacement windows, to keep this from happening.
The couple purchased 24 window replacements from Window Planet, and still has more to do! This house was full of windows. In their family room alone, which has cathedral ceilings, there were 14 windows on one wall, which allow the sun to come in.
Our installers got all of the replacement windows installed in one day! They use an expandable foam to insulate the outside, after they had caulked the inside, to keep any of the foam from transferring into the house around the window replacements. They came back the next day to finish up all of the exterior trim on the replacement windows. Therefore, they had no inside work to do on that day.
The customers were extremely pleased with our install crew and the installation itself. Our crew was courteous, using drop clothes to keep any debris from getting into the house, as well as cleaned up and hauled away all of the old stuff. Our installers use a paintable type of caulk on the interior of the window replacements and a silicone on the outside, which carries a lifetime warranty as well!
These windows will outlast and out perform any window manufactured today!
After getting to settle in with their new replacement windows, the couple was very happy that they were able to look out of their beautiful new windows, with no obstruction of wrinkled film or fog moisture, onto the golf course in which their home overlooks. They also reported that the replacement windows that Window Planet had provided, has saved them 50% on their cooling cost! They could no longer feel the heat coming into their home!
